Paws of Asgard was built from a shared passion for working dogs, training, and the bond between dogs and their handlers.
What began as a pursuit of knowledge and hands-on experience in canine training quickly grew into a larger vision, creating a training program focused on building confident dogs, capable handlers, and reliable partnerships. Through years of learning, working with dogs of varying temperaments, and gaining real-world experience, the foundation for Paws of Asgard began to take shape.
Inspired by discipline, resilience, and the warrior spirit reflected in Norse mythology, Paws of Asgard was created to provide purposeful, structured training designed for real-life situations. The focus is not only on obedience, but on communication, confidence, and building lasting partnerships between dogs and their handlers.
Paws of Asgard emphasizes balanced training that helps dogs succeed in everyday environments, while also supporting working dog foundations such as detection, patrol, and advanced obedience. Whether working with family companions or developing working dog potential, the goal remains the same, clear communication, strong relationships, and dependable results.
Paws of Asgard is built on the belief that every dog has potential, and every handler deserves the tools and guidance to succeed. Through consistency, structure, and purpose-driven training, Paws of Asgard aims to strengthen the bond between dogs and their people.
This is more than training.
This is building partnerships.
This is Paws of Asgard.

My journey into dog training didn’t start with dogs, it started with horses.

My journey into dog training didn’t start with dogs, it started with horses.
From a young age, I learned how to communicate through body language, pressure, timing, and trust. Horses taught me patience, consistency, and respect. They taught me that leadership isn’t about force, it's about clarity, confidence, and partnership. Those early lessons shaped the foundation of how I approach dog training today.
But my true path into canine training began with my own dog, Bella.
Bella was reactive, challenging, and at times overwhelming, but she became my greatest teacher. She taught me resilience, problem-solving, and the importance of truly understanding behavior rather than simply managing it. Through Bella, I learned that progress isn’t always linear, and that every dog deserves patience, structure, and guidance.
Bella didn’t just change my approach to training, she changed my life.
Then came Vön.
Where Bella taught me resilience, Vön continues to push me forward. Through training, working, and building together, he has helped shape my vision for what Paws of Asgard would become. Vön represents growth, purpose, and the future, constantly challenging me to learn more and become a better handler and trainer.
To further develop my skills, I completed a six-month internship in professional canine training, where I gained hands-on experience working with a wide variety of dogs, temperaments, and training goals. During this time, I worked with everything from basic obedience to advanced training, behavior modification, and working-dog foundations. This experience allowed me to deepen my understanding of canine behavior, training methods, and real-world application.
Through this hands-on training, I developed experience in:
Basic and advanced obedience
Behavior modification
Reactive dog training
Tracking/Trailing
Protection Foundations
Confidence building
Working dog foundations
Handler communication and coaching
Real-world training scenarios
This internship solidified my passion and strengthened my foundation as a trainer, reinforcing my belief that training is about building trust, clarity, and communication between dogs and their handlers.
My background in the U.S. Navy further shaped who I am today. Serving taught me discipline, leadership, adaptability, and a mission-driven mindset. These values carry directly into my training philosophy, clear communication, consistency, and building confidence in both dogs and their handlers.
Over time, what started as a personal journey became something more.
Paws of Asgard was built from passion, purpose, and the belief that every dog and handler can grow stronger together. Inspired by resilience and the warrior spirit, my goal is to help create confident dogs, capable handlers, and lasting partnerships.
I believe training is more than obedience, it's about communication, trust, and understanding. Every dog is different, every handler is different, and every team deserves a training approach that sets them up for success.
This isn’t just dog training.
This is building stronger dogs.
Stronger handlers.
And unbreakable bonds.
Welcome to Paws of Asgard.
